Assists Tutor/Learner Coordinator in matching adult learners and volunteer tutors and conducts follow up of learner progress and documentation.

Experienced Solano County Library Literacy volunteers can opt to become a Resource Specialist. They serve as a resource to staff, tutors and learners. Must be available by phone, email or in-person to answer questions, offer advice or help with problem-solving. Research and continuing professional development are required to keep abreast of changes or additions in the specialty. Follow-up with tutors, learners and/or staff will be required.

Organizes and manages a literacy learning center which supports tutors and learners to ensure that an effective educational program takes place. (Learning centers might be library branches, church, educational or other facilities throughout the county.
